Jaime Bayo


Development Director

Jaime is Immigration Equality’s Director of Development. He is a native of El Salvador who immigrated to Florida with his family in the late 90’s. Jaime is based in Miami, FL where he leads the organization’s fundraising efforts and guides the donor engagement strategy for the organization through a thoughtful combination of data-driven development strategies and inspirational giving practices.

Jaime joined the team with over 16 years of fundraising experience inspiring philanthropists to create positive, sustainable change in local communities and across the globe. He’s held executive and fundraising leadership roles at Action for the Climate Emergency, Miami Dade College Foundation, and the Peréz Art Museum. Jaime also proudly served as the founding Executive Director of OUT Miami Foundation, Miami’s LGBTQ community foundation, for over 4 years and then served as a member of the organization’s Board of Directors.

He holds a Masters in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from Florida State University, and has earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification– the only accredited, globally recognized certification for fundraising professionals. He is the current President of the Miami Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, where he as been on the Board of Directors for nearly 6 years.

Jaime is a passionate tennis fan and enjoys hitting the open road on his bike and soaking in chill beach vibes. He loves spending quality time with his two cute chihuahuas as well as his adorable niece and nephew.
