Christopher Beaucage is a finance associate in the New York office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, as well as a member of the Hybrid Capital & Special Situations Group. Chris has primarily handled corporate bankruptcy and restructuring matters, including the representation of debtors, creditors, and other interested parties in both chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings. He earned both his Civil Law and Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Ottawa, Canada and holds his Masters of Laws from the University of Cambridge, UK. Prior to moving to the United States in 2018, he clerked for Justice Rosalie Silberman Abella of the Supreme Court of Canada and for Chief Justice Marc Noël of the Federal Court of Appeal of Canada. He has an active pro bono practice focused on immigration and LGBTQ+ issues. Chris is originally from L’Épiphanie, a small rural parish in Quebec and currently lives with his husband in Chelsea, NYC and their Lakeland Terrier named Fergus.
