Immigration Equality, in collaboration with Oasis Legal Services and National Immigrant Justice Center, published an FAQ which provides important information concerning passports and immigration related identity documents in the wake of President Trump’s Executive Order targeting transgender, nonbinary, and intersex communities.
The FAQ is geared towards U.S. passports and USCIS-issued immigration documents (such as work permits, green cards, refugee travel documents, and naturalization certificates). The advisory seeks to provide as much clarity as is currently available for transgender, nonbinary, and intersex individuals who are concerned about the gender marker on their U.S. passport and/or immigration documents.
