Dear Community Members,
We know that many of you are shaken by the anti-immigrant and anti-LGBTQ actions and rhetoric that are already coming from the Trump administration. We just want to tell you that you are not alone. If the ground beneath you feels unsteady, hold tight to the knowledge that we see you, and that we’re fighting with you.
At Immigration Equality, we remain unwavering in our commitment to support LGBTQ and HIV-positive immigrants and refugees, and we will continue to fight for our community no matter what. As we wrestle with the challenges to come, we will post important updates here on our website, and share that information with everyone on our email list. Sign up for our email updates here.
If you would like more information on how you can prepare and protect yourself right now, please visit our Know Your Rights page where you can learn more and access helpful resources.
While the path ahead will be challenging, we refuse to give up on the promise of a fair and equitable society. Our work has always been vital, and going forward, we will all need to work together to fight for justice.
In solidarity,
The Immigration Equality Team
