Immigration Equality Denounces Rise in Anti-Asian Violence in U.S.

New York, NY (March 28, 2021) — We strongly condemn the recent attacks in Atlanta, Georgia and the rise in violence against people of Asian descent across the country. We mourn the loss of those who died in the attack this week and are heartbroken for their loved ones. At the same time, we re-commit ourselves to rooting out racism—against all people of color—in this country. We will follow the lead of Asian-American organizations as we remain vigilant against anti-Asian bias, harassment, and brutality.
