Executive Director’s Election Day Response

To our friends and supporters,

Like you, I am deeply anxious about the outcome of the election. For LGBTQ people and for immigrants, the last four years have been a nightmare. It is hard to imagine the additional damage President Trump might do if he is reelected. But no matter what happens, I am certain that we will find a way forward together. 

While the outcome of the election is out of our hands, there is something you can do right now: help us save the lives of queer, trans, and HIV-positive immigrants. 

Even under the most remarkable adversity, the good will and support of people like you has been a consistent bright light for us. Because of you, Immigration Equality continues to protect and defend the most vulnerable among us. Thank you! 

The work ahead of us is significant, but I am confident we will persevere. While the outcome of the election may determine the path we take towards progress, we are prepared for every eventuality. Your donation today will enable us to save countless lives from anti-LGBTQ bigotry and the injustice of our immigration system.  

The Trump administration hasn’t stopped us. The pandemic hasn’t stopped us. And whatever comes next won’t stop us either.
