Immigration law is one of the most complex, and often irrational, areas of U.S. law. Many general practitioner attorneys know little about immigration law and many immigration lawyers know little about the specific issues and discrimination faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and HIV-positive immigrants.

One of our core missions at Immigration Equality is to assist LGBT and HIV-positive immigrants obtain accurate, current information about how U.S. immigration law affects them.
