Deportation and Detention: Why are trans folks more likely to be detained/deported?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Win @ 9:01 am

I just came across this very helpful (yet depressing) explanationby the Sylvia Rivera Law Project about how trans immigrants are disproportionately deported and sent to detention.  Click here for the diagram.

  2. I think deporting someone is very sad and also does need to be controlled. I think that if people had a choice to come and live in America from other countries, they would choose to come here. People should have an option of where they want to live and what they should do with there lives, but it does need to be controlled because if everyone decides to come to America, then it would be over populated and the other countries and states would be left empty. We all should be happy that we live in a place where we have control over our future and we get to decide what we want to become. I think for people getting deported in America that have lived here for many, many years would be really hard for them to be deported back to there country.
