  1. ..having read it..I might be wrong….but it seems
like they took a “line” or very similar from “Janet’s”
story a couple pages back in this blog?…..

  2. Well, you could be right, but I bet anything there are many similar cases in the US. The media IS ignoring this issue BIG TIME. There has to be a trigger so that this is exploited, it NEEDS to be exploitet or else we’ll just have to wait until gey marriage becomes an aprooved federal law; and who know how much longer that would take.

  3. I too believe that there has to be a trigger for change. Though I believe that change will come when this administration is out of power. I still remain hopeful that there will be a wave of progress after January 2009. Whether it be a repeal of DOMA, or certain sections of DOMA, or the passing of the UAFA through a large Democrat controlled Congress. I don’t believe that we will have to wait until same sex marriage becomes legal across all states. Call it wishful thinking, but it is all I have to hold on to. 7 more months. God that seems like a life time.

  4. correct nola ..there is gonna be big changes after January,..already “change” if obama is the nominee
(which by the end of today it looks like it)
there will be no movement at all with this administration…….as said before the “toughest”
choice will be which to start with first

  5. We will not sit in the back of the bus any longer. Write to Ellen, Oprah, and CNN. Our Civil Rights are being violated and this just cannot continue. 4UAFA dot com is a forum for supporting and discussing the passage of the Uniting American Families Act. The time has come for equal rights for ALL let me repeat ALL in the United States Of America.

  6. You guys are much more optimisic then I am. I love to think that change is comming in 7 months. After 7 years I can wait 7 months, but I have been let down for so many year on this issue. I just find it hard to belive that this injustice will be fixed. I really hope I am wrong.
