Transportation Update: March with Immigration Equality on March 21st
We are less than ten days away from marching in Washington for inclusive immigration reform!
If you have registered to march with us, start making your travel plans! If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to sign up today.
For those of you travelling from New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Iowa, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee: Please visit the official We March for America website. Buses are being coordinated by Reform Immigration for America (RIFA). Note that all questions regarding travel should be directed to the organizers of the buses.
Then, meet up with Immigration Equality at the World War II Memorial at 11.30 a.m. on the 21st. World War II Memorial can be accessed from two different metro stations, Federal Triangle and Smithsonian, both of which are located on the blue and orange lines. Immigration Equality staff members will be standing outside of Metro stations to give you directions to the exact location of our gathering.
For those who are unable to make it to Washington D.C.,Out4Immigration is also organizing various local events in San Francisco. Please check Out4Immigration or contact Amos Lim of Out4Immigration (amos@out4immigration.org) for further details.

If you live in Bushwick or Williamsburg in Brooklyn, Make the Road is coordinating buses. I plan to hitch a ride with them. They leave at 6:30 am.

In a new article, Obama said he is committed to immigratoin rehaul, with Republicans saying that they may stall it if recociliation is used for heatlh care.
Either way, I’m scared that the gay community will be left out. Please let it go through!
