I agree....It makes one feel just "Sick" of the injustice etc etc....BUT Don has a good point
if it goe's out and becomes a real show...it's a great opportunity to exploit!

If this thing gets traction and becomes a real TV show we should take it as an opportunity to air our case to a broader audience and get some publicity of the unfairness of the law. Also, maybe we can get GLAD to put some pressure on these folks.....and get a same sex episode or two just to put an exclamation point on our predicament.

I think this is just a slap in the face to all of us that have partners from other countrys. My gf just went back to England yesterday and it was very hard leaving her in the airport. Then she tells me about this...I got very upset when i read this. I'm fighting to find ways to get her here in the states and they are going to allow straight couples the right to play a game to win the right to marry for a green card...what gives them the right? Is it so hard for the US to see that its unfair to keep loving couples apart? I just think that its unjust for Americans to be treated this way just because we live our lives and love our partners.

Everyone, you would be surprised at how FEW know about this situation. I work at Gamestop, and everyday when I mention my situation to those that ask me why I'm working so hard they say "wow, I didn't know that...that's really not right" They ignored my question to the youtube debates. This issue needs to be brought to the forth front! This needs to be broadcasted all over the news! People need to know about the situation! You'd find that a great number DO agree with us and agree that this needs to be changed. It's just about making it heard all around.

i just got back from a visit with my g/f... my nerves are raw, both from the heart wrenching seperation and the long flight....
the defense of marriage act is there to prevent this kind of fraud, these people did not meet naturally, online or in person, they are meeting to get married and the immigrants that are looking for spouses.. they are looking for green cards and the spouse is a way to get that..... i am beyond angry at the whole injustice of it all. keeping loving couples apart is heartless and needless. how long can this blatent discrimination continue in the "land of the free"?

How is that not fraud? Everyone should send this article to Obama and Clinton and DiFi and anyone else that has brought up the "fraud" issue. If this is even legal, they no longer have an argument to stand on.

"It's aimed to show that love knows no borders" As long as you are straight, of course. As usual gay people are not considered equal. I wonder if in the next election their vote will be worth only 2/3 compared to that of a straight voter.
BTW, I am starting a new project called Underground Country. I invite you all to read it http://undergroundcountry.net
